Refund policy

Canceled Orders, Refunds, Returns, Exchanges and Warranty Information

Full Return Policy:  

We will accept returns up to 30 days after delivery on most items as long as the item is unused and in its original condition and packaging.  KayakGadgets reserves the right to refuse any return for any reason.

For refunds due to canceled orders, returned items (not due to manufacturing defects), and  any other type of refund, cancellation or return not specifically mentioned, the customer will be responsible for the return shipping charges and a handling/restocking charge of 10%, regardless of the reason for the canceled, returned or refunded order.  

The canceled, returned or refunded order(s) shipping cost and the 10% handling fee will be deducted from the the purchase price when the canceled, returned or refunded order(s) process is completed

Return shipments will be shipped via USPS in most cases. However, some products require other parcel services or Less Than Truckload (LTL) carriers.  All canceled, returned or refunded order(s) or item(s) shipping and Handling chargers will be the customer's responsibility.

To initiate a cancelation, return or refund, you must contact us at support@kayakgadgets.com.  When your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting return approval will not be accepted or refunded and no monies will be disbursed.

Less than truckload (LTL) freight:  We are unable to accept returns or provide refunds on LTL shipments until approval is received from the product supplier.  Items shipped via LTL carriers are larger, heavier items and should be given ample consideration prior to submitting an order.  Currently the only products shipped LTL freight are the Yakport/Connect-A-Dock/Connect-A-Port products.  If you wish to return any of these products, a prior approval is required. 

To request a cancellation, return or refund approval, email Support@KayakGadgets.com.  Return costs on the Yakport, Connect-A-Dock, Connect-A-Port, Railblaza, Backwater Paddle Co. or YakGear products are at the purchaser's expense and a restocking fee of 10% of the total purchase price is required.

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at support@kayakgadgets.com with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We will review these on a case-by-case basis and work towards a satisfactory solution.  Your satisfaction is our number one goal!

Very Important Ordering Information:  If you place an order for any oversized product such as the Yakport, Connect-A-Dock, Connect-A-Port products without first contacting us at support@kayakgadgets.com for the shipping charges, and subsequently cancel your order, or request a refund due to the additional shipping cost associated, we will refund the total purchase amount minus any processing fees or restocking fees KayakGadgets incurs on said transactions.

NOTE:  Customers are strongly encouraged to get proof of postage when returning goods to avoid "lost packages" situations.

Damages and issues:
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item. We will work to correct the issue to your satisfaction.

Exceptions / non-returnable items:
Certain types of items cannot be returned, custom products (such as special orders or personalized items).  Please get in touch with us if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges:
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have (See return process above). Once the return is complete, you can make a separate purchase for a new item with a store credit.

Refunds:
If your return is authorized by KayakGadgets we provide you with a return shipping label and your return item(s) is/are received (unused and in its original condition and packaging) final approval will rendered and your purchase price minus the return shipping charges and a 10% handling fee will be refunded.  The refund refund will be automatically refunded via your original payment method.  Please remember it can take 7 to 10 days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

The below warranties are provided by the product supplier and are not the liability of Precisely Perfect Product or KayakGadgets.com with the exception of the KayakGadgets Branded Sunglasses Warranty.

Connect-A-Dock®

CONNECT-A-DOCK® Warranty — USA & Canada Connect-A-Dock Inc. warrants to the original owner all polyethylene plastic components for eight (8) years from date of purchase to be free of defects in material and workmanship and to perform properly under normal usage and when *fully assembled according to the instructions provided at the time of purchase. All other accessories have a one (1) year limited warranty. *Fully assembled: Install float connectors into all float section sockets where other float sections will be attached. CONNECT-A-DOCK® Warranty — International Connect-A-Dock Inc. warrants to the original owner all polyethylene plastic components for two (2) years from date of purchase to be free of defects in material and workmanship and to perform properly under normal usage and when *fully assembled according to the instructions provided at the time of purchase. All other accessories have a one (1) year limited warranty. *Fully assembled: Install float connectors into all float section sockets where other float sections will be attached. CONNECT-A-PORT®/2XL Warranty — USA & Canada Connect-A-Dock Inc. warrants to the original owner all polyethylene plastic components for five (5) years from date of purchase to be free of defects in material and workmanship. For a copy of the Connect-A-Port/2XL complete warranty call Connect-A-Dock.

CONNECT-A-PORT®/2XL Warranty — International Connect-A-Dock Inc. warrants to the original owner all polyethylene plastic components for two (2) years [one (1) year for commercial use] from date of purchase to be free of defects in material and workmanship. All other accessories have a one (1) year limited warranty. For a copy of the Connect-A-Port/2XL complete warranty call Connect-A-Dock.

Should you have a warranty claim, we may require that you provide a photograph or, in some cases, return the Connect-A-Dock part to the place of purchase. In order for warranty to be valid, original sales receipt must accompany warranty claim. NOTE: Shipping costs are not included in warranty.

NOTE: All plastic has an inherent tendency to create static electricity. If you have a concern, contact Connect-A-Dock.

Warranty Information for:

KayakGadgets Branded Sunglasses Warranty:

Limited Lifetime warranty:  This warranty only applies to KayakGadgets branded sunglasses at this time.  This warranty does not apply to neglect and intentional damage to this product or loss of the product with the exception of floating glasses. If for some reason the glasses fail to float and are lost in a body of water, without human involvement or assistance, the glasses will be replaced to include shipping and handling. For all other loss or damage, the lifetime warranty will cover the replacement of the product but does not include shipping and handling to return the product or shipping of the new glasses.
